This workshop is inspired by 2000s pop culture and by how it can be re-used as a way to feel free and empowered. We will work directly with material from the performance so that each person can experience it in their own body and explore how to play, dance, and express themselves with this material in a fun and relaxed way. Come by and dive into the 2000s!

Über
Kiyan is a Swiss-Iranian dancer and choreographer trained at the Rotterdam Dance Academy in the Netherlands. He worked with several companies in the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany.
In 2018, he created the solo GRAND ÉCART, selected for the Swiss Dance Days 2021 and the Swiss Selection in Avignon. In 2022, he co-created KICK BALL CHANGE with Charlotte Dumartheray. The piece became a film and was selected for the 59th Solothurn Film Festival. In 2025, he created TIME OF MY LIFE for the Tanzkompanie St. Gallen. His next creation, BODY ELECTRIC, is one of the four laureates of the Label+ Romand program and will premiere in January 2027.
Kiyan is an associate artist at Usine à Gaz for the 2025–2028 seasons. He also teaches regularly as a guest instructor for the Ballet Junior de Genève and the CFP Arts. -
